Sharon Liu, MA, CAIA

Sharon Liu joins Grayhawk with over 15 years of experience in building institutional grade operational infrastructures for digital, fixed income, and fund of hedge funds investment firms.

Prior to joining Grayhawk, Sharon was Head of Operations at a global multi-manager/multi-strategy investment platform allocating capital to both TradFi and crypto hedge funds, where she provided guidance on all aspects of operations across digital and traditional finance markets.

Prior to this, Sharon was Head of Operations and Chief Compliance Officer at a crypto hedge fund, where she joined at its inception and was responsible for all non-trading functions.

Sharon has also been employed with a fixed income hedge fund, where she developed from scratch and managed the process and infrastructure for all aspects of fund operations, including cash/funding management, trading FX hedges and front-end papers, trade operations, fund accounting, risk management, and compliance. At a $1.2B Canadian fund of hedge funds investment firm she was responsible for operational due diligence, portfolio performance analysis, and risk management. Sharon began her career as an analyst in operations, risk, and valuation at two global fund administration companies.

Sharon holds an M.A. in Economics from the University of Waterloo, a B.A. Honours in Economics from the University of Western Ontario (Huron College) and has been a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charter holder since 2010.

Outside of work, Sharon enjoys playing the piano and attending classical concerts with her family.
