Biography
As Senior Research Analyst, Ben MacLaren focuses on portfolio construction, investment research and strategy, primarily in relation to private investments. Ben brings 12 years of institutional buyside investment management experience, 10 of which were in private investments.
Previously, Ben was a Director, Private Equity at a large Western Canadian pension fund, where he performed a similar function, concentrating on prudent asset selection and portfolio construction. Prior to working in private investments, Ben worked on the public equity desk of an Atlantic Canadian pension fund, executing trades and formulating investment ideas.
Originally from Halifax, Ben enjoys the outdoors, and spending quality time with friends and family.
