Biography
During Ahmed’s eight-year tenure in the investment industry, he has amassed a wealth of experience and worked on numerous stimulating projects. In his previous role as an Investment Analyst at TTC Pension Plan, Ahmed was responsible for overseeing the Public market portfolio, which included Equities, Fixed Income, and Hedge Funds. Additionally, Ahmed played a key role in implementing noteworthy initiatives, such as Multi-Asset Credit and Emerging Markets, into the Public Portfolio. Prior to this, he served as a Senior Associate – Strategy and Implementation at Mercer within the Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) Pension Fund, which had assets under management (AUM) of approximately $50 billion.
Ahmed’s academic background further reinforces his expertise, as he holds an Honours Bachelor of Sciences degree from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Finance degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. This academic foundation, combined with Ahmed’s professional experience, has granted him a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of the investment world. Alongside his professional endeavors, Ahmed is an adjunct lecturer at Seneca College, where he has the privilege of teaching Financial Management and International Finance. Sharing his knowledge and experiences with students is one of Ahmed’s greatest passions.
Outside of work and academics, cricket is another passion of Ahmed’s, and he was fortunate enough to play professionally in the past. Ahmed also loves traveling and has been fortunate enough to explore various destinations around the world.
